Who's let their coffee get cold (again)?

By martinm, in DIY, may 03,2024.

Yoctopuce has a self-service coffee machine. To get a coffee, all you have to do is walk over to the machine, place your cup underneath, press a button and wait. This wait can sometimes be a little long, because the machine has to grind a dose of coffee beans and possibly heat up if it hasn't been used for a few hours. It therefore happens quite often that the "customer" goes off to do something else while waiting, and forgets to come back for his coffee, which will be found cold by the next "customer". To put an end to this rather dumb waste, we've found a solution thanks to the brand new Yocto-RFID-15693.

Using Yoctopuce sensors in HWiNFO

By seb april 26,2024.

While browsing the Internet, we came across a post on the HWiNFO forum asking whether Yoctopuce modules could be used in the HWiNFO software. This isn't the case by default, but as we like to be of service to our users, we've written a little Python script that adds this functionality.

Synchronization of autonomous communication scripts

By mvuilleu, in New stuff and Programming, april 19,2024.

One of the special features of Yoctopuce serial communication modules, such as the Yocto-I2C, the Yocto-RS232, and the Yocto-RS485-V2, is that they can autonomously execute small communication jobs, for example to query sensors. We have recently added the ability to synchronize these automatic exchanges to precise time constraints.

By Tiago, in DIY, april 12,2024.

Some time ago, we presented a method for driving Yoctopuce modules with an Elgato Stream Deck. Today, we're showing you how to create a macro keyboard, inspired by the Stream Deck but based on a Yoctopuce module.

New! The Yocto-RFID-15693

By martinm, in New stuff, april 05,2024.

We've already talked about it in this blog: Yoctopuce has been trying to make a (good) RFID reader for literally years. A project which, until now, has never materialized due to the lack of a good-quality radio module that doesn't cost an arm. But this time, we think we've found it, and Yoctopuce is finally marketing an RFID reader. Let's see have a look at it...
