The YoctoHub-Ethernet is a Fast-Ethernet module that can host three Yoctopuce modules to access them remotely. It can be powered either by a USB Micro-B cable, or directly from the Ethernet cable (PoE compatible with 802.3af standard).

The YoctoHub-Ethernet can be used in the same way as a VirtualHub running on a little PC, but it is much easier to setup and maintain than a PC. It smaller and consume less. It is compatible out-of-the-box with all existing applications using Yoctopuce API. As for the VirtualHub, it can run autonomously using HTTP callbacks.

Three Yoctopuce modules can be connected directly, one of which can be fixed directly on the YoctoHub-Ethernet and connected using a Board2Board-127 connector. More devices can be connected thanks to the YoctoHub-Shield extension. The YoctoHub-Ethernet can power Yoctopuce devices up to 2A.

Warning: although the 3 downstream ports hosting Yoctopuce devices use USB micro-B connectors, the YoctoHub-Ethernet use a specific protocol simpler than USB to talk to the devices. Therefore, it is not possible to drive or even to power a regular (non-Yoctopuce) device using the YoctoHub-Ethernet. It is not possible neither to use a regular USB hub (such as the Micro-USB-Hub) on the downstream ports. If you need more downstream ports for Yoctopuce devices, you can use a YoctoHub-Shield.

Good day! It is very interesting for me! I want, if it possible, to buy Ethernet or wifi hub with your Yocto-meteo. Tell me,please, when it will be in you online shop?
Thank you!
P.S. You do a great gob!!!

Hi there!
And how long does it take to test, validate and produce it? :) Very interested in this product also..

Production is running right now, first units should show up on our shop tomorrow :-)

I'm trying to update to the latest firmware version, but the upload process gets stuck by 78% each and every time. Why good god, why me?

Seriously, any idea whats the problem? I'm reaching the device via a UMTS backed VPN connection, however the connection is stable during the update - until eventually I hit 78% and log tells me:

FIRM: Truncated firmware

@flashfingaz: sorry for the inconvenience, that's odd... we will follow up by email to solve that issue.

8 - ultrasonix Friday,january 02,2015 20H51

have you stopped production or just out of stock.

unavailable ?

let me know please. think others will want an update also.

9 - mvuilleu (Yocto-Team)Friday,january 02,2015 20H54

@ ultrasonix: don't worry, it is just "temporarily" unavailable because a customer bought all the items we had in stock and we had to reorder more PCB. But as soon as we get them (probably mid January) the product will be shipping again

Hi, could I use my sensors (like yocto light, for example) via this hub directly from Java (without VirtualHub)?

11 - mvuilleu (Yocto-Team)Friday,june 12,2015 5H11

@sss: yes, this is exactly the purpose of this device

Yoctopuce, get your stuff connected.
