With the new European directive on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSRD) due to come into force in 2025, we are increasingly receiving requests for information on how we manage the sustainability and social responsibility of our business and our suppliers. As the essence of this new regulation is transparency, we have chosen to publish in this post our approach and the measures we take on a daily basis to best assume our share of responsibility.

Whenever you have a new WiFi device to install, the first step is to configure the connection settings. And often, the most time-consuming part is finding and typing in the password for the WiFi access point. We've enhanced the tool we introduced a few weeks ago to automate this step.

When we designed the Yocto-SDI12, we intended it to collect data from SDI-12 sensors, either by interrogating them explicitly, or by monitoring the activity of an existing recorder. So this module was not originally intended to behave like an SDI-12 sensor. But acting upon a request by a customer, we have now added this new capability to the Yocto-SDI12.

For as long as we've been selling USB peripherals, we've taken great care to keep connectivity consistent across all our products, and to preserve module features when we need to make a new version. 13 years ago, the USB micro-B connector was just starting to make its mark, so we adopted it right from the start. Today, however, it's starting to be replaced by USB type-C, and we have to ask ourselves whether or when our products should migrate to USB C for their connectors. Give us your input !

We've received a few messages from customers who were surprised the first time they used VirtualHub v2 (still in beta). Indeed, the first time you connect to the VirtualHub v2 web interface, the browser blocks the page and displays a big warning about an invalid certificate. But don't panic! It's nothing serious. We'll explain everything.
