As the same causes tend to have the same effects, following the announcement of the Yocto-IO-V2 a few months ago, this week we present the Yocto-Maxi-IO-V3. Its internal design is a little different from the previous version, but from a functional point of view, it's exactly the same product as the Yocto-Maxi-IO-V2.

One of the special features of Yoctopuce serial communication modules, such as the Yocto-I2C, the Yocto-RS232, and the Yocto-RS485-V2, is that they can autonomously execute small communication jobs, for example to query sensors. We have recently added the ability to synchronize these automatic exchanges to precise time constraints.

We've already talked about it in this blog: Yoctopuce has been trying to make a (good) RFID reader for literally years. A project which, until now, has never materialized due to the lack of a good-quality radio module that doesn't cost an arm. But this time, we think we've found it, and Yoctopuce is finally marketing an RFID reader. Let's see have a look at it...

Ten years ago, we published a post showing how to use the Yocto-milliVolt-Rx-BNC with a pH probe to digitally extract measures. Of course, the 2014 module still works today, but in the meantime we've released a few tools which make using it even easier. So here's an update to this post...

An important advantage of Yoctopuce serial interfaces, compared with RS-232, RS-485 or TTL serial interfaces found elsewhere, is the ability to define stand-alone jobs in the module, for example to query a sensor. This week, we're releasing new firmware for these modules, which facilitates debugging of these scripts, by enabling their progress to be traced in parallel with message exchanges.
