10-12 years ago, you could buy a USB battery for 10-20 euros, and use it to power a Yoctopuce experiment without asking yourself too many questions. Unfortunately, today it's very hard to find a USB battery that can power a Yocto-Wireless or YoctoHub-GSM-based experiment. So we decided to invest some time, and money, in trying to find a good one.

Renesas recently released a new I2C sensor that caught our eye: a tiny miniature sensor for measuring airflow velocity. It's a measure we're interested in, because many industrial processes need well-regulated ventilation to run reproducibly, and progressive clogging of filters can significantly affect ventilation capabilities. Let's take a look at this sensor...

A few weeks ago, we presented the Yocto-SDI12 which communicates with SDI-12 sensors. Today, we're going to use the Yocto-SDI12 to retrieve measures from Seed Studio's integrated SenseCAP S700 V2 weather station and display them using Yocto-Visualization for Web.

More or less by chance, we came across the TR-EVO-60M-I2C rangefinder manufactured by TeraBee. It promises a detection distance of 0.5 to 60 meters with a viewing angle of 2°. All this in the volume of a 3cm cube with an I2C and serial interface. At around 100 CHF apiece, we couldn't resist buying one to play with.

Yoctopuce has been offering a CO2 sensor for some time now. The current model, the Yocto-C02-V2, has a measure range of 0-40000ppm, or 0-4%. This is sufficient for most common applications. But what if you need to measure higher concentrations? Sensirion now offers the STC31 sensor with a measure range from 0 to 100%.
