Then we might be able to help you: a new sensor is about to be available on the shop. The Yocto-Light device is an ambient light sensor. With a sensitivity range extending from 3 to 65000 lux, it will let you to make many interesting projects such as light barrier, day/night detection, shadow detection etc...
The device comes on a 20x36millimeter (0.8 x 1.4 inches) board. Like all other Yoctopuce USB sensors, the part holding the probe can be cut off from the main board so that you can place it a few meters away, and make it less visible.
What about a 2x3.5 cm USB light sensor?
The sensor part can be placed a few meter away from the main board.
Like all USB devices designed by Yoctopuce, the Yocto-Light works with Windows, Linux, Mac OS X without any driver. You just have to connect it to a USB port and start gathering data. Isn't that cool ?
As the production phase is about to start, the Yocto-Light should be available mid-January.
