This USB device is an RGB LED driver. You can change color and luminosity of both LEDs. You can use it for simple signaling as well as for spectacular light effects.
The device is made of three parts: the driver and two sub-boards with one RGB LED on each. Sub-boards can be moved away from the main board, allowing you to install the LEDs wherever you want. You just have to daisy-chain the LEDs.
This device is sold with two RGB LEDs, but actually it can drive up to 146 of these, as long as they are WS2812B, WS2812C, SK6812 , WS2811(RGB) or SK6812RGBW (RGBW) LEDs. Panels based on these specific LED models are commercially available, for instance at Adafruit. If you are desperately looking for a USB NEOPIXEL driver, then the Yocto-Color-V2-C is what you need :-)
This device doesn't need an active USB connection to work. You can program each LED color at start up and even program simple animations that automatically start at device power up. Then, you only have to power the device with a regular USB charger.
This module is the equivalent of the Yocto-Color-V2, but with a USB type-C connector. Both versions can be connected to a USB A, Type C or Micro-B host with the appropriate cable.
This device can be connected directly to an Ethernet network using a YoctoHub-Ethernet, to a WiFi network using a YoctoHub-Wireless-n and to a GSM network using a YoctoHub-GSM.
