While running some tests with VirtualHub (for web), we realized that nowhere in the interface did we specify which settings the YoctoHubs should use to connect. So we decided to add a new window to make it easier to add and configure YoctoHubs.
In fact, we redesigned the configuration process for YoctoHubs that you want to connect to VirtualHub (for web). Previously, you had to configure an HTTP callback on the YoctoHub and enter the URL and password for VirtualHub (for web).
This system had two drawbacks. First, you had to manually enter several settings (callback type, URL, password, and so on). Second, the person configuring the callback had to know the password used by all the hubs.
To address these issues, we've added an "Enroll new hub" button to the web interface of VirtualHub (for web). This button allows you to register and configure a new YoctoHub.
VirtualHub (for web)
This button opens a new window that generates the parameters needed to configure the YoctoHub. However, these parameters no longer contain the global password; instead, they contain a unique temporary password.

The new window for registering a new hub
These settings can thus be provided to an operator without revealing the global password.
Once these settings are applied to the YoctoHub, it connects to VirtualHub (for web) using the temporary password. Upon the first connection to VirtualHub (for web), the server automatically modifies the YoctoHub's configuration so that it uses the global password.

Subsequent connections are made using the global password.
The YoctoHubs
We also took this opportunity to simplify the configuration of the YoctoHubs. In the control panel, it is now possible to import all settings at once. At the bottom of the window, we've added an "Import" button that lets you paste the settings generated by VirtualHub (for web).

Availability
To take full advantage of this new procedure, you must use version XXX of VirtualHub (for web) and YoctoHubs with firmware version vXXX or later.
This method also applies to YoctoHubs running on older firmware versions. In that case, you need to manually adjust the settings one by one in the YoctoHub configuration interface.
