Implementing a hanging scale

This week, we are going to do some tinkering and build a hanging scale with a Yocto-Bridge and an Android smart phone. The aim is to weigh objects ranging from a few hundreds of grams to about twenty kilos, in order to weigh objects such a model air planes or bikes. Strangely, two widely popular hobbies at Yoctopuce :-)

A connected racing gate for mini-quadcopters

We have recently found remote-controlled micro-quadcopters, so light that you can use them inside without risk, even in an office environment. Some models are even equipped with a camera, allowing you to fly in FPV (First Person View). If you like learning new things, it's ideal to lighten the rainy days that we have been having early this year.

Cheap and compact cold

Three weeks ago, we built a "hot box" that can maintain a small enclosure at a constant temperature in the order of 85°C during a few hours. This week, we are trying to do the opposite: a "cold box" that can maintain an ambient temperature in the order of -30°C.

Building an oven and its regulation

We recently decided to systematically test the behavior of Yoctopuce modules when they are submitted to high temperatures. We therefore had to build an enclosure able to heat up and maintain a relatively precise temperature. This week, we show you how we built it.

Lighting a model runway with a Yocto-Color-V2

The guys at Yoctopuce love rc modeling and particularly everything that flies. Unfortunately in Winter, the sun goes down early and flying sessions at the end of the day often finish up in the dark. We decided to build a small lighted landing runway that we could control from a smart phone.
