New! The Yocto-RFID-15693

By martinm, in New stuff, april 05,2024.

We've already talked about it in this blog: Yoctopuce has been trying to make a (good) RFID reader for literally years. A project which, until now, has never materialized due to the lack of a good-quality radio module that doesn't cost an arm. But this time, we think we've found it, and Yoctopuce is finally marketing an RFID reader. Let's see have a look at it...

pH probe calibration

By mvuilleu, in Measures and New stuff, february 09,2024.

Ten years ago, we published a post showing how to use the Yocto-milliVolt-Rx-BNC with a pH probe to digitally extract measures. Of course, the 2014 module still works today, but in the meantime we've released a few tools which make using it even easier. So here's an update to this post...

Debugging serial communication scripts

By mvuilleu, in New stuff, january 19,2024.

An important advantage of Yoctopuce serial interfaces, compared with RS-232, RS-485 or TTL serial interfaces found elsewhere, is the ability to define stand-alone jobs in the module, for example to query a sensor. This week, we're releasing new firmware for these modules, which facilitates debugging of these scripts, by enabling their progress to be traced in parallel with message exchanges.

Remote serial communication with VirtualHub for Web

By mvuilleu, in New stuff, december 29,2023.

Most of our examples with Yoctopuce communication modules use their integrated job system, which enables autonomous interrogation of an external sensor and assignment of the values read to the 10 genericSensors available on the module. This makes it particularly easy to upload measurements to a VirtualHub for Web server. Today, we're going to show you how to proceed in a more complex case where it's not possible to use genericSensors, for example because there are more than 10 measures to capture, or because the data is not numerical.

Firmware update on remote devices

This tool uses our HTTP callback mechanism to interact with modules, while offering a Web interface very similar to the usual YoctoHub or VirtualHub interface. The first version nevertheless had certain limitations, which we are gradually working to reduce...
