YoctoBox-Short-Thin-Black

This enclosure will dress up and protect your precious Yocto-Device. It is made of two parts: a base and a lid, which are tightly assembled with screws and nuts.

There are many ways to fix this enclosure: it has legs which can be removed if needed, you can also stick it on a plane surface using the included adhesive. Built-in magnets will hold it on metallic surfaces.

For orders of 9 or more enclosures of the same height, you can send us by e-mail your own custom logo to engrave on the lid instead of the Yoctopuce logo.

This enclosure is meant to be used with short and thin modules. There is no cut in the upper side of the lid. This enclosure is intended to be used for products such as Yocto-Light. The base is made of black plastic.

Please note: Starting in fall 2017, we will replace by default all metal screw and bolts with similar plastic screw, to improve the insulation of electrical sensors. If you nevertheless prefer to receive the metal screw as in the past, simply mention it to us when you place your order.

Why doesn't Canada get magnets?

2 - martinm (Yocto-Team)Friday,january 03,2014 6H48

@cyounghusband: Because we use very strong (NdFeB) magnets, and the technology used to make these magnets is heavily patented. These patents are expired or invalid everywhere in the world except for USA, Canada and Japan.

We contacted Hitachi Metals, the patent owner, but they weren't interested in selling directly to us. We also tried to buy licensed magnets from US resellers and we found out, the hard way, that most of those so called official resellers are fraud.

Finally we decided that USA, Canada and Japan will have to wait until these patents expire and chose to buy unlicensed magnets from a local and reliable Swiss reseller.

Yoctopuce, get your stuff connected.
